I'm kind of getting sick and tired of the MX/SX industry trying to live up to some type of Brady Bunch standard. What Hanny said sounds dumb, and unprofessional, but actually probably will attract customers to the event. I mean, does anyone outside of Canada actually watch hockey for any reason other than the potential for fighting? MX/SX will never live up to a Beaver Cleaver standard, so why keep trying? The general public will never fully understand racing, or the intricacies of dirt bike racing.
The whole industry should just roll with a little wildness, let the riders be themselves, and cash in on the resulting shitblizzard.
It is a shame that these guys are propped up in front of a camera.While part of being a pro is to have the ability to act as a pro. Unfortunatly these guys are pro motorcycle riders,not public speakers.I don't know Josh personally, and I doubt I would be someone that has anything in common to get to know him, but I do enjoy watching him race. This is the reason we are fans of this sport, not to watch them speak on camera, right? I would almost blame Mitch for allowing him to be chosen to do the interview with Jake. Mitch, of all people, knows who on his team is capable of speaking in an exceptable manner.He has more vested in the perception of the industry,with the current state of economy. These representations will not go a long way in bringing sponsors that want to reach out of their box of marketing.

Steve, how many industry people have you sent this to? I hope you are passing it along to everybody you know. That FELD guy you had on the Podcast a while back should see this.

After listening to Hanny being interviewed on DMXS, I thought to myself that Lil'Hanny might just have it all together after all...Wow, did that come undone after that performance!
Please Hanny, don't hurt our sport we all love!!!
Glad the dude doing the "bit" had a little "previous fan experience".
The interview itself proved that our young up-n-comers need a little training in the "Art of the interview" and other sponsor and media-related issues.

I can just see Mitch and the rest of the PC crew sitting around, thinking...how can we get more people who like bare-knuckle fightng to attend supercross races?, because they're the ones with all the money to spend on hop-up goodies...not those other hard working types with families,... I KNOW!, get Hanny to do a live interview on local news to tell them there will be beer and fighting in the stands!
